Dark Skin
Makeup Tips for Dark Skin
Makeup can make anyone look good, be it a fair skinned or a dark skinned person. Although many people think differently but the truth is that both a fair skinned and a dark skinned person can look good with makeup. No matter what skin tone you have, it is always better to enhance the inner glow of the skin rather than applying loads and loads of makeup on the face which hides the glow. The advantage of having a dark skin tone is that it isn’t much prone to pimples, blackheads, dark spots and pigmentation. A fair skin tone would always be prone to such things.
There is always a way by which you can apply makeup and look good. Here are a few tips which can help you out.
1) Foundation:
The foundation which should be used has to be water based. Since dark skin looks oily, when a cream foundation is used the look would worsen and would even harm the skin.
2) Eye Makeup for Dark Skin:
When choosing the color to be used for eye makeup, dark colors like browns, plum, prunes and burgundy go the most. Metallic dark colors is also an available option. Eyeliner should not be used because if not applied properly, it can spoil the look of the eyes.
3) Blush for Dark Skin:
Light tone shades like rose, deep orange and coral shades should be used and dark colors like brown and peach shades should be avoided at all cost.
4) Lip Color for Dark Skin Tone:
Matte finish lipsticks should be chosen over frost finish ones. Shades like brown, burgundy, berry shades, plums, beige, soft pink and gold are suitable.
It is medically proven that a dark skin tone is much better than a fair skin tone as it can stand the sun rays exposure because of more pigment.
